There is so much to do at Trout Lodge, the only hard thing is deciding what to do first: traversing the paintball course, learning how to make balloon animals, creating a Trout Lodge masterpiece with dart art, taking a geology hike, bird watching, hat-shaping with the Triangle Y Ranch wranglers, archery, tower climbs, zip lines, mini-golf, horseback/pony rides and hayrides, arts and crafts, riflery, pontoon rides, water activities, dozens of other awesome activities and, of course, themed weeks and weekends. There is something for everyone at Trout Lodge! (Some activities are seasonal). YMCA Trout Lodge truly offers fun for all seasons.
With blooms and foliage awaking from a long winter’s slumber, spring also brings out the desire in people to shake off their winter coats for the signs of the early colors. “Spring Break” themed weeks offer families the chance to start the year with a family-friendly spring break getaway with activities sure to please all ages. Weekend themes, including Easter, Mother’s Day, Western weekends and many more, celebrate the renewal that spring brings.
Summer about water activities and frolicking in the sun with sailboats, Zorb balls, banana boat, canoes, funyaks, lake swing and slide, water trampoline, pontoon tours and so much more. During the summer months, spend the day by the water or enjoying your favorite activities. At night, join daily evening themed programs. Be a super hero, eat s’mores around a campfire, or learn how to “mosey.” There’s a different theme every evening of the week.
Fall ushers in the autumn splendor, with an artist’s palette of 5,200 wooded acres as your vacation backdrop, and with it the themes that are so popular — the Great Pumpkin Jamboree, the hugely anticipated Halloween weekend, and Thanksgiving (with a turkey on every table and no cleanup required!). The Saturday after Christmas visitors can step back in time to see how pioneers lived during Pioneer Christmas, which brings back a village from the past complete with caroling, popcorn garlands, ornament-making, story-telling, blacksmithing, Dutch oven cooking and many other activities from “days gone by.”
Winter at Trout Lodge celebrates the joy of the Christmas season, as well as New Year’s festivities that off the year by “ringing in the new year” with a dance party, midnight buffet and, of course, a fireworks display.
