A family favorite since it premiered on Broadway in 1977, "Annie" features a cast of 66, performing such familiar songs as "Tomorrow" and "It's a Hard-Knock Life."
Joined by her beloved dog, Sandy, Daddy Warbucks, and the menacing Miss Hannigan, Annie will be played by 11-year-old Leah Forst (July 13, 14 and 15) and by 12-year-old Madison Lay (July 20, 21 and 22). They were two of many talented young people who auditioned for roles in the show.
The cast also includes performers Phil Nuetzel as Oliver Warbucks, Michelle Farmer (Miss Hannigan), Chase Shelton (Rooster), Annie Zigman (Lily), Brooke Fortner (Grace), Madeline Hewgley (Molly), Lauren Wood (Pepper), Catherine Messina (Duffy), Riley Walsh (July), Emily King (Tessie), Kaley Bender (Kate) and Jason Mehrtens (Franklin D. Roosevelt).
Spotlight's production, which jumps the gun on a planned Broadway revival in fall of 2012, will be directed by Sherry Liliensiek, with music direction by Tali Liddell and choreography by Mary Fedak.
