On Wednesday, Aug. 1, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., young Einsteins are invited to roll up their lab coat sleeves and spend a day of scientific discovery at The Magic House with Sid the Science Kid.
An award-winning PBS series broadcast Monday through Friday at 10 a.m. on the Nine Network of Public Media, Sid the Science Kid nurtures children's natural curiosity about science in everyday life. Sid asks the big questions that every kid wants to know like, "Why are my shoes shrinking?" and "Why do bananas get mushy?" This all-day science celebration at The Magic House will feature hands-on science activities in the museum's Expericenter learning laboratory and the opportunity to meet Sid himself.
Additionally, the St. Louis County Library's bookmobile will be rolling into The Magic House's back parking lot from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. bringing science-themed books. Kids can check out this fun library on wheels and even check out a book to read.
Science with Sid is free with museum admission. The Magic House is hosting Science with Sid in partnership with The Nine Network.
The Magic House is located at 516 S. Kirkwood Road, Kirkwood, Mo., 63122. Call 314-822-8900 for more information. From the calendar
