Mercy's newest convenient care/urgent care facility has opened in Fenton. The office, located at 1203 Smizer Mill Road, Suite, 100, Fenton, Mo., 63026, provides care from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, and is staff by physicians and pediatric and family nurse practitioners.
Mercy is celebrating its new location with a public open house from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13. Families are invited to take a tour, enjoy refreshments and pick up a gift.
Mercy convenient care and Uugent care clinics are available when people are unable to see their physician during office hours, yet their illness isn't serious enough to require an emergency room visit. These clinics offer extended hours, walk-in convenience and different care levels for illnesses and injuries for kids and adults. A special After-Hours Pediatric Clinic is part of this Mercy Urgent Care, staffed by pediatric nurse practitioners, for families who can't get to their pediatrician's office during regular business hours.
Because convenient care is a part of Mercy Clinic, patients who are directed to the convenient care side pay the same insurance co-pay that they would at their doctor's office. Patients directed to the Urgent Care side, a service of Mercy Hospital, have access to more sophisticated diagnostics and treatments to manage more serious health complaints. Urgent Care patients pay less than they would for a visit to the hospital emergency room that offers 24/7, trauma-level care, but more than office co-pay.
Mercy has additional Urgent Care clinics in St. Peters, Washington and O'Fallon, Mo. and Convenient Care clinics in Des Peres, Eureka and Union. For a complete list of locations, visit www.mercy.net.From the calendar
