Several new stores and restaurants are opening in St. Louis-area malls this spring.
Just in time for warm weather, Flip Flop Shops is opening its first Missouri store at West County Center. The shop for the flip flop connoisseur opens May 23 in the upper level of the mall near Nordstrom. The store carries brands of flip flops and sandals such as Reef, Sanuk, OluKai, Cobian, Quiksilver, Roxy and Cushe. Flip Flop Shops opens on the heels of The Lego Store, which first opened its doors at West County Center last month.
Athletic moms are celebrating the recent opening of Athleta at Plaza Frontenac. Another new store for the St. Louis metro area, Altheta specializes in yoga clothing, swimwear, running attire, and golf and tennis clothing. Athleta opened earlier this month in Plaza Frontenac's upper level.
Saint Louis Galleria is celebrating the grand opening of the Microsoft retail store with a Ne-Yo concert in the mall's parking lot on at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 7. The grand opening starts at 10:30 a.m. at the mall, and the first 1,200 people in line will receive two tickets to the performance.
St. Clair Square is asking its fans to share their "wish list" for future mall stores on the mall's Facebook page. St. Clair recently announced three new stores. Sanibel Sunglass Company recently opened at the mall. The first metro area Cheddar's restaurant will open in June, and Kirkland's home decor and furniture store will open in the fall.
