The McClay Branch of the St. Charles City-County Library District will close Sunday, Aug. 11, for interior remodeling. The branch is expected to reopen in late September.
Renovations include new checkout and reference desks, updated restrooms, floor plan modifications to create more space, and fresh paint for the entire branch.
During the closure, the book drop at the McClay Branch (2760 McClay Road, St. Charles, Mo., 63303) will be open to accept returned items. Library materials may also be returned or checked out from any other branch of the district. Friends of the Library donations will not be accepted at the McClay Branch during the closure but may be taken to other library locations. While the McClay Branch is closed, library customers are encouraged to use the three branches closest to the McClay location: Spencer Road Branch (427 Spencer Road, St. Peters, Mo., 63376), Kisker Road Branch (1000 Kisker Road, St. Charles, Mo., 63304) and Kathryn Linnemann Branch (2323 Elm St., St. Charles, Mo., 63301).
Library materials previously reserved for pick-up at McClay will be available for pick-up from the Spencer Road Branch during the closure. If customers prefer a different pick-up location, they can make the change in their account by accessing Your Account at www.youranswerplace.org or ask a library staff member for assistance. Customers may also renew materials online using their library account.
