If your Fitbit wristband has caused skin irritations and rashes, you are not alone. Today, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a massive recall of Fitbit Force Activity-Tracking Wristbands.
According to the CPSC recall, users can develop allergic reactions to the stainless steel casing, materials used in the strap or adhesives used to assemble the product, resulting in redness, rashes or blistering where the skin has been in contact with the tracker.
Fitbit is offering a full refund to consumers who purchased the Fitbits with model numbers FB402BK, FB402BKS, FB402SL and FB402SLS. Fitbit wristbands operate as a pedometer, sleep monitor and watch. Get all the details on the recall at the CPSC website.
