Today is my last day as Editorial Director of St. Louis Sprout, and it's surely bittersweet.
I am unbelievably proud of St. Louis Sprout and everything Beckie has done to further the site and help local organizations and attractions connect with families. I'm proud of Sprout teammates I've worked with through the years, including Beckie, Liz Behan, Kathy Deters and Lori Barker. They have become my dear friends. I have been blessed to work with writers like Jeff Konkel and Meredith Boggess; both have been with us from day one when we barely had a penny to pay them.
And then there's you. Our readers are why we do what we do every day. You're moms and dads, grandmas and grandpas, babysitters, aunts, uncles, and people who just want to go do something fun and worthwhile with your families. You've shared the site with our friends and helped us grow, you've stopped us at events and told us how much you love our website and Weekly Planner. You've been constructively honest with us, and we are better because of you. Thank you.
It's true I'll still be keeping an eye on St. Louis Sprout as editorial consultant and freelance writer, but I want you to know that the editorial sections of the site are in good hands. I'm pleased to introduce you to our new editor, Suzanne Halbrook. Suzanne shares our love of St. Louis and our passion for connecting families with things to do. Suzanne spent 11 years excelling in the field of public relations and marketing, winning numerous awards for her work in tourism marketing. In 2012, she left the workforce to focus full-time on her family. She joins St. Louis Sprout & About as the new editor, starting a new chapter in her professional life.
Thank you for a wonderful five years. I know I'm looking forward to what's to come!
