Indian Trails will close Feb. 16, Jamestown Bluffs will close Feb. 23, Weber Road will close March 2 and Rock Road will close March 9. These branches are expected to be closed for approximately six months, though Rock Road could be closed for up to nine months.
Renovated libraries will feature expanded children's areas and more interactive learning stations. Other renovations will include the addition of family restrooms, living rooms, laptop bars, café and business areas, and study rooms.
The Lewis & Clark and Tesson Ferry branches will both be replaced with new buildings. The public is invited to learn more about the new Lewis & Clark Branch at two community forums. The forums will be held at the existing Lewis & Clark Branch (9909 Lewis-Clark Blvd., St. Louis, MO, 63136) at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, and 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5.
Reserved items that are on hold at the branches that are closing will be sent to other branches. Indian Trails holds will be sent to Natural Bridge, Jamestown Bluffs will be sent to Florissant Valley, Rock Road holds will go to Bridgeton Trails and Weber Road holds will go to Tesson Ferry. Patrons who would prefer their reserved items be directed to another branch may call 314-994-3300.
The renovations were made possible by the Your Library Renewed campaign, a tax increase approved by voters in 2012. For more information about Your Library Renewed, visit slcl.org.
