Slide the City will bring its popular 1,000-foot waterslide to the St. Louis area in July. Intrepid souls can ride inflatables down the mega-slide when it comes to St. Louis July 11-12 and O'Fallon July 25-26.
Slide the City was founded in 2014 and is designed to get families outdoors and interacting with their community. Slide the City uses padded vinyl to temporarily convert hills and city streets into a family-friendly slip-and-slide that stretches the length of more than three football fields. Live music, food and drinks will be available. Families are encouraged to bring spray bottles, water buckets and other pool toys for added fun.
According to Slide the City, the St. Louis event will be held on Market Street. The O'Fallon event is scheduled to be held on Mexico Road near Fort Zumwalt West High School.
