Visitors can get a taste of circus life at the Circus Harmony Flying Trapeze Center, now open inside Union Station. The center, which is located at the 18th and Clark entrance near Hard Rock Café, offers something for every interest level.
For the truly intrepid soul the Trapeze Center offers one-time trial flights and swings starting at $20. Those who want to see their skill level soar can take an in-depth, 90-minute class. Classes are offered Tuesdays through Sundays through mid-October and are limited to three to eight participants. Students learn to swing and dismount and may have an opportunity to perform a trick, as time permits. Classes start at $60. Love the beauty of the trapeze but prefer to keep your feet planted firmly on the ground? Circus Harmony offers performances at the Flying Trapeze Center as well. Circus Harmony is a social circus located inside the City Museum that provides educational programming for circus enthusiasts ages 5 through adult. Participants can explore clowning, aerial silks, tumbling, contortion, hula hoops and more. Proceeds from classes help Circus Harmony bring about social change through circus skills.
