Residents will have an opportunity to see the conceptual plan for a new park in St. Charles County at an open house at Kisker Road Library Monday, June 29 from 5 to 8 p.m. Kisker Road Library is located at 1000 Kisker Rd., St. Charles, MO, 63304.
After acquiring land from former Sammelmann Farm and Homestead in July 2014, St. Charles County Parks and Recreation sought public input to determine what types of features users would like to see in the new park. Based on the information gathered, planners have created a conceptual design that reflects these amenities, while also preserving the property’s cultural and natural significance.
The new 116-acre county park will be located at Pitman Hill and Kisker roads in the Weldon Spring area. It is the sixth county park in reserve for future development in the St. Charles County Park system.
