Missouri State Parks will also host several campout events in the St. Louis area:
- For camping with a side of history, visit First Missouri State Capitol State Historic Site for an overnight campout in the historic site’s backyard from 6 p.m. Saturday to 10 a.m. Sunday. Campers provide their own tents and gear, and historic site interpreters will provide historic demonstrations and a cookout. Registration is $25 per family of six. Call 636-940-3322.
- At Washington State Park in DeSoto, families will be treated to a full weekend of camp-inspired fun June 26-28, including hikes through Native American rock carvings, a bug hunt and campfire charades. Walk-ins are welcome. Call 636-586-5768 for more information.
