Trailnet and the City of St. Charles are seeking input from those who use St. Charles’ trails for transportation, fitness and recreation. Information gathered will be used to develop a Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan for St. Charles, which officials hope will make it safer and easier for trail users to reach schools, parks and commercial areas.
Organizers would like to hear from St. Charles residents about the current condition of local trails and how they are used, as well as what residents would like to see in future bicycle and pedestrian facilities. Those who are unable to attend the public events may share their thoughts online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/St_Charles. The input will be used to develop a blueprint for future trails. Opportunities to review the plan once it is developed will be offered at several public events in spring 2016.
"The City of St. Charles has several opportunities for improving walking and bicycling,” said Marielle Brown, Trailnet Bike Walk Planner. “We are excited to be able to collaborate in creating a long-term vision for the City of St. Charles."
