St. Louis County Library reopened the renovated Jamestown Bluffs Branch Thursday, Nov. 12. The renovated library includes an expanded teen area, a café area with snack machines, private study rooms, a quiet reading area called “the living room,” community rooms and more.
The renovated branch was designed by Bond Architects. Other renovations include new computers, carpeting and furniture. The library closed several other branches earlier this year for renovations. The new Lewis & Clark Branch opened in October. Indian Trails is expected to reopen in November 2015, Weber Road in December 2015 and Rock Road in January 2016. Renovations to existing branches include larger children’s areas, private study rooms and family restrooms.
The renovations were made possible by the Your Library Renewed campaign, a tax increase approved by voters in 2012. For more information about Your Library Renewed, visit slcl.org. Jamestown Bluffs Branch is located at 4153 N. Highway 67, Florissant, MO, 63034.
