SEPT. 13, 2011 –- The Disney Store will open its new concept store at the Saint Louis Galleria on Wednesday, Sept. 14.
Saint Louis Galleria is the first newly-designed Disney Store to open in Missouri, providing an interactive shopping destination and magical experiences for Disney fans of all ages, according to a company press release. In addition to shopping, the store offers immersive experiences, including a Disney Princess Castle with Magic Mirror, translucent magical trees, a "Cars" neighborhood and the Disney Store Theatre.
"The magic and wonder of Disney is captured within the unique experiences that await families at Disney Store," said Jim Fielding, president of Disney Stores Worldwide, "More than a store, we've created a shopping destination where we will bring the magic of Disney to life every day for St. Louis families."
Disney Store at Saint Louis Galleria will offer new product lines, including the recently launched Disney Princess Designer Doll Collection and the new line of Wish-a-Little figurines from the Kidada for Disney Store Charming Collection. The newest Disney Store fragrance, Pixie Dust, will also launch at the St. Louis location.
The St. Louis store joins the growing list of newly-designed stores already opened around the world, including a location in New York's Times Square. By the end of 2011, the specialty retailer will have 60 new concept stores in 16 major cities in North America and eight countries.
With each new store opening in the United States and Canada in 2011, Disney Store will donate 10 percent of the first day's sales to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The first 250 guests who attend the public opening celebration at 10 a.m. on Sept. 14 will receive free Mickey Mouse ears.
