This display is "a wacky, whimsical, wondrous world," according to Alfie, the chief of elf operations at Santa's Magical Kingdom. You'll see Candyland, the Gateway Arch, the nativity and even flying pigs in this eclectic display. Train and wagon rides are also available. See the lights every night Nov. 18 through Jan. 8. Anheuser Busch | Opens Thursday, Nov. 17
The famed Anheuser-Busch Brewery Lights display features more than a half million lights adorning the Germanic-style red brick buildings found on the campus. See the dazzling lights up close on a self-guided walking tour and enjoy a variety of activities, including a little sampling for the adults. The season of activities begins Thursday, Nov. 17 and continues every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 5 to 10 p.m. through Jan. 1, 2017. Lebanon Winter Wonderland

This winter wonderland is a throwback to simpler days as local community members chip in to create displays including a salute to the military, a Victorian village, polar bears, deer and of course, Santa's workshop. National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows, Belleville | Opens Friday, Nov. 18
The Christmas story is told using more than a million lights and electro-art displays at the Way of Lights. See the lighted nativity from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 5 to 10 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday from Nov. 18 through Dec. 31. Several activities are available to families including carriage rides, a children's village play area, laser shows, choir performances, tree and wreath displays, animal rides, a petting zoo and a Lego display. The restaurant, activities and gift shop are closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. The light display is free, although donations are recommended. Ameren Missouri Festival of Lights
Union Station, Downtown St. Louis | Opens Saturday, Nov. 19
Ameren Missouri's Festival of Lights kicks off the holiday season at Union Station on Saturday, Nov. 19, at 3:30 p.m., beginning with hot cocoa and cookies with Mrs. Claus inside Union Station, followed by live music and more festive fun. The evening will culminate in a fireworks display and the lighting of the holiday display at approximately 6:30 p.m. Get the details.
Missouri Botanical Garden | Opens Saturday, Nov. 19
Hundreds of thousands of lights will adorn the Climatron, Kaeser Memorial Maze, Central Axis, Tower Grove House and other iconic locations with unique color combinations. Walkways will be transformed into sensory light tunnels as visitors experience the exhibit's visual magic. Garden Glow is open Sunday through Thursday evenings from Nov. 19 to Dec. 22 from 5 to 10 p.m.. Tickets are $16 for adults, $12 for members, $10 for children ages 3-12 and $6 for members' children. Friday and Saturday admission, as well as nightly admission from Dec. 23 through Jan. 1, is $18 for adults, $14 for members, $10 for children ages 3-12 and $6 for members' children. St. Louis County Parks and Recreation transforms Tilles Park into a drive-through holiday light extravaganza that includes a tunnel of lights, scenes from popular Chirstmas tales and shimmery winterscapes. Winter Wonderland is open to vehicles 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Sunday, Nov. 23 through Jan. 1. On Saturdays the park is reserved for carriage rides. The all-volunteer "Grandpa Gang" is back at it this year, stringing millions of lights throughout Rock Spring Park (2116 College Ave., Alton, IL, 62002). Carriage rides and photos with Santa in the Enchanted Forest are available. Christmas Wonderland is nightly from Nov. 25 through Dec. 27. Rotary Park, Wentzville | Opens Friday, Nov. 25
Enjoy a mile-long light display in Rotary Park (2577 W. Meyer Road, Wentzville, MO, 63348) that includes tunnels and holiday scenes. Drive through the park from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays Nov. 25 through Dec. 18. On Dec. 18, the display opens daily through Dec. 30. The display is closed on Christmas Day. Admission is $8 per vehicle up to six people. Vans, buses, limos pay $8 plus $1 for each additional person. Visitors may walk through the light display on Monday, Dec. 5, and enjoy a special treat with Santa Claus. Walk-Thru prices are $3 per person in advance, or $5 per person at the door. O'Fallon's Celebration of Lights

Drive through lights and holiday scenes designed by local organizations, churches and businesses during the O'Fallon Celebration of Lights. The display is open Nov. 25 through Dec. 30. The display is closed on Christmas. Visit Sunday and Tuesday through Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 6 to 10 p.m. Admission is $10 per family vehicle. On Tuesdays admission is $7 for all non-commercial vehicles. Discounts are available Wednesdays through Sundays and with a food pantry item donation. The Saint Louis Zoo invites families to ditch their cars in the parking lot and take a walk on the wild side during the U.S. Bank Wild Lights. Visitors are treated to light displays of penguins, butterflies, prairie dogs and more. Other activities include storytelling, performances and crafts. Weekend tickets are $9 for member and $10 for the general public. Weekday tickets are $7 for zoo members and $8 for non-members. Kids under 2 are free.
