Visit the 15th Annual Plein Art Festival April 20-30. This unique festival is designed around the concept of creating art in the open air. Local wineries and surrounding communities such as New Melle, Washington, Augusta, and Defiance will host various events throughout the festival. Visitors will have the opportunity to watch the art being created. Completed art can be purchased on the spot.

Mother's Day weekend, May 12-14, treat mom to a day out at the Laumeier Annual Art Fair. With regional food vendors, a wine garden and live music, everyone is sure to have fun. The fair takes place rain or shine, and features work by 150 juried artists. Admission is $10; free for ages 10 and under.
Art on the Square | Belleville, Illinois
Back for the 16th year, Art on the Square will take place in downtown Belleville, Illinois, May 19-21. Over 100 artists from around the world will be on hand. The event will also feature music and stage performances, local food, and a children's art section where kids can create their own art projects to take home.
Fine Art Fair and Winefest | Washington
The Farmers' Market in Washington, Missouri, is the setting for a free Fine Art Fair in Washington May 19-21. Watercolor paintings, photography, pottery and woodwork from juried Midwestern artists will be available for purchase. For those looking for an adult day out, wine tasting is also available at the adjacent Winefest.
The Webster Arts Fair | Webster Groves
The 14th Annual Webster Arts Fair (formerly Art & Air), returns to the Webster Groves University/Eden Theological Seminary grounds in historic Webster Groves June 2-4. In addition to artists representing several states and many other creative activities, there will be food and live music. Admission is free.
Midwest Salute to the Arts | Fairview Heights, Illinois
Fall will be just around the corner when you visit Everett Moody Park on Longacre Drive in Fairview Heights, Illinois, for the Midwest Salute to the Arts Aug. 26-28. This juried art show hosts 100 artists from around the country. Admission is free and also features live entertainment, an interactive children's creation station, a food court and live art demonstrations. This family-friendly event will also have a Children's Gallery where kids only are invited to shop from artwork donated by the attending artists. Once they make their purchase, families are encouraged to seek out the artist who created the piece their child chose. Gallery admission is $10.
Missouri Mosaics Festival | St. Charles
Historic Main Street St. Charles is always a fantastic setting for an outdoor fair. The Missouri Mosaics Festival Sept. 15-17 showcases emerging to established local and regional artists in all media. Mosaics Festival is partnering with the Foundry Art Centre to display student and teacher artwork from recognized schools in their Mentor Me Exhibition. Children can also work with adults to create a piece of art to take home at the hands-on art experience inside the Children's Village. Live entertainment and food trucks/booths will be on hand to complement the existing Main Street dining options. Admission is free.
