Opening June 2, the approximately 141,000-square-foot St. Louis Children's Specialty Care Center will be located at Highway 40/I-64 and Mason Road. Planned with both kids and parents in mind, it will feature a fun, colorful, interactive design for children and space for parents to work or relax during their little ones' appointments. Washington University physicians and St. Louis Children's pediatric nurses and staff will offer outpatient care in a variety of specialties, including:
• Ear, nose and throat
• General surgery
• Orthopedics and sports medicine
• Plastic surgery
Additional outpatient services include same-day surgery, radiology and therapy services.
"The Children's Specialty Care Center will be a one-stop center for pediatric health," Majzun says. "We're offering better access to our world-class physicians in the new specialty care center." Learn more about the St. Louis Children's Specialty Care Center.
For over 130 years, Children's Hospital and its Washington University School of Medicine physician partners have remained a resource for pediatric health and wellness for the St. Louis region and beyond.
They provide care in every pediatric specialty — from fetal care through adolescence. In 2016, U.S. News & World Report ranked St. Louis Children's Hospital in all 10 specialties, the only children's hospital in Missouri to earn this distinction. Their Level One Pediatric Trauma Center is nationally verified by the American College of Surgeons (ACS), the highest national recognition possible.
