In conjunction with Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon's "100 Missouri Miles" initiative, the Missouri Department of Conservation has updated their paddling guide and hiking database to make logging 100 miles easier.
Earlier this month, Gov. Nixon announced the "100 Missouri Miles" initiative, which challenges Missouri residents to hike, bike or paddle 100 miles in the state by the end of the year.
"Paddler's Guide to Missouri," a book with detailed descriptions of almost 3,000 floatable miles of streams and rivers is available for $8 at conservation department offices, nature centers and online at mdcnatureshop.com.
