Updated Aug. 14, 2014 -- Grand opening festivities at North County Recreation Complex have been canceled, according to Angie Riehn, public information coordinator for St. Louis County Parks. The pool will be open on Saturday, Aug. 16.
North County Recreation Complex is home to a brand new aquatic center, which will open for the end of the outdoor swimming season. A grand opening is scheduled for noon on Saturday, Aug. 16, with open swim following at 12:30 p.m.
The outdoor pool features a lazy river, multiple slides, a water basketball court, zero-depth entry, play structures for kids and toddlers, a diving board, and lap lanes.
The pool is managed by St. Louis County Parks. Admission is $3 for kids ages 4-12 and those 65 and up, and $4 for ages 12-64. The pool will be open from 12-6 p.m. on Aug. 16, 17, 23, 24, 30 and 31 and Sept. 1.
