The new park, which is now open, was made possible by a partnership between St. Charles County Parks and Recreation and St. Charles Community College. It features a fitness trail and disc golf course, as well as 10 pieces of exercise equipment and a wheelchair accessible fitness machine. The park is designed to be accessible to visitors of all ages and abilities. The park's fitness trail also connects to a walkway on the St. Charles Community College campus as well as nearby greenways and schools. During the dedication visitors will have an opportunity to explore the new park's features and participate in a disc-throwing contest for an opportunity to win a free cabin rental from St. Charles County Parks.
St. Charles County Parks is also in the planning stages for a proposed 116-acre park in the Weldon Spring area between Pitman Hill and Kisker Road. St. Charles County acquired the former Sammelmann Farm and Homestead in July 2014. Residents were invited to provide feedback for the proposed park.
College Meadows Park is located at 4601 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, Cottleville, MO, 63376.
