“Fantasy Maps: Imagined Worlds” depicts St. Louis using a 75x25-foot floor map created by Matt Reedy, illustrator from Boxing Clever, that shows neighborhoods and fun, whimsical designs. The exhibit also transports visitors into literature using maps from beloved books such as “The Hobbit” by J.R.R. Tolkien, “A Dance With Dragons” by George R.R. Martin, “How to Train Your Dragon” by Cressida Cowell and “Prince Caspian” by C.S. Lewis.
“Fantasy Maps: Imagined Worlds,” which was designed around the library’s extensive map collection, is open through Oct. 15. For a limited time, visitors can take home a free collectible map of St. Louis landmarks. Visitors are encouraged to share their visit on social media using the hashtag #slplfantasymaps.
Central Library is located at 1301 Olive St., St. Louis, MO, 63103.
