The Santa Express Train Ride will depart from St. Louis Union Station Nov. 18-Dec. 30. Passengers will be treated to a reading of “’Twas the Night Before Christmas” and are encouraged to wear pajamas. Santa and his elves will climb aboard to greet guests.
Union Station will be transformed into the North Pole with several new additions for the 2016 holiday season. At Glacier Park, guests can take a spin on an outdoor ice skating rink, which will be open daily beginning Nov. 18. Visitors can also snow tube down an ice slide, have a snowball fight or drink hot cocoa on Glacier Park’s Winter Deck. Also new this year, visitors can watch the Fire & Light Show under the outdoor train shed. Glacier Park outdoor experiences will be open daily through Dec. 30 except Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
In North Pole Village, visitors can enjoy story time with Mrs. Claus, see Santa’s sleigh, make toys at Santa’s Workshop Experience, decorate gingerbread houses, tour Santa’s personal office and more. Families can join the Elf’s Clubhouse for exclusive time with Santa’s elves, priority access to attractions, discounts and holiday treats. All North Pole Village activities will be open 3-9:30 p.m., Wednesdays through Fridays, and noon-9:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Extended holiday hours will be offered 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Dec. 18-24 and Dec. 26-Jan. 2. The attraction will be closed Thanksgiving and Christmas days.
Excursions aboard The Santa Express Train Ride will be offered 4:45, 6:15, 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays. Train tickets range in price from $39 to $89. Holiday train excursions at St. Louis Union Station are popular and often sell out quickly.

Union Station will also offer a holiday feast in The Grand Hall at 5, 6 and 7 p.m. for Santa Express visitors. Dinner is $29 for adults and $24 for children. Guests will enjoy a Christmas-themed 3-D light show and indoor snowflakes.
