Class offerings range from Ninja Bits, an obstacle course for ages 4-8 that’s designed to improve speed and coordination, to Dancin’ Bits, which covers pre-ballet, tap and jazz. Kids can also study gymnastics, cheer and yoga. Little Bits Gym also offers programs to nurture the connection between parents and children, including Baby & Me Yoga.
“As a mommy I know that I have no better joy than when I see my children playing and when I am able to play alongside them and encourage them,” said Little Bits Owner and Founder Amy DeSalme.
Many of the gym's classes engage children in fun counting games, and sing-a-longs and musical activities to encourage memory and word identification. Classes are also designed to support group interaction and social skills through sharing, leadership and teamwork. Older students are introduced to patience and perserverance through programs like Kiddo Cardio and Ninja Bits.
"We feel that our program is truly learning disguised as FUN," DeSalme said. "Our classes engage the whole child, incorporating a variety of exercises to partner along with physical engagement to stimulate cognitive development and growth."
Little Bits will also offer birthday party packages that include private use of the gym, a party room, invitations, staff assistance and paper goods for $250. For $350, guests will also receive pizza, cake and decorations. Little Bits Gym will host a weekly parents’ night out on Fridays as well.
Visitors can stop by and tour Little Bits Gym during its free open house Sept. 10-25. The gym will also be offering free trial classes during the open house, including a "Star Wars"-themed Mommy & Me Yoga Class, tumbling sessions and dance classes. The gym will begin its normal class schedule Sept. 26.
