Icons from science fiction, fantasy and pop culture will appear in St. Louis at Wizard World Comic Con April 7-9 at America’s Center.
Celebrities scheduled to appear at this year’s event include Sean Gunn from "Guardians of the Galaxy," Peter Tork and Micky Dolenz of The Monkees, Gene Simmons of KISS, Loren Lester and Kevin Conroy of "Batman: The Animated Series," Lou Ferrigno from "The Incredible Hulk,” Ian Somerhalder and others. Barry Bostwick will host a special screening of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 8.
Several famed Hollywood cars will also be on display, including Herbie the Love Bug, the 1966 Batmobile, Speed Racer Mach 5, Tow Mater, the DeLorean Time Machine and Rufus the Impala from "Supernatural."
Wizard World Comic Con St. Louis will celebrate pop culture, including movies, television, gaming, comics, sci-fi and toys. Visitors can participate in gaming, attend movie screenings and join Q&As with celebrities. Fans of all ages can show off their best cosplay and compete in a costume contest Saturday night.
This year's event will include several activities for families, including face painting, a kids' costume contest at 2 p.m. daily, live performances geared toward children, and a dance party for superheroes and princesses.
Hours for this year’s event are Friday, April 7, 5-10 p.m.; Saturday, April 8, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.; and Sunday, April 9, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
