The Fabulous Fox Theatre will once again bring the best of Broadway to St. Louis theater patrons for its 2017-18 U.S. Bank Broadway Series.
The headline-grabbing smash hit “Hamilton” will make its Fox Theatre debut April 3-22, 2018. Through a rousing and unique blend of blues, jazz, hip-hop, rap and R&B, “Hamilton” tells the story of one of America’s founding fathers, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington's right-hand man during the Revolutionary War.
The upcoming series also includes classics like “The King and I,” “A Christmas Carol,” Rodgers + Hammerstein’s “Cinderella,” Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “The Sound of Music,” “The Wizard of Oz,” “Chicago,” and a new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s haunting tale, “The Phantom of the Opera.”
Other productions coming to the Fabulous Fox for the 2017-18 season include the romantic thriller “The Bodyguard,” based on the hit movie; “On Your Feet!,” inspired by the music of Emilio and Gloria Estefan; “School of Rock,” which tells the story of an aspiring rock star posing as a substitute teacher; “The Color Purple,” a re-imagining of an epic story about a young woman’s triumphant journey of love in the South; and the ever-popular “Book of Mormon.”
For the first time, the Fox stage will also host a turn-of-the century circus spectacular, “Circus 1903—The Golden Age of Circus,” March 16-18, 2018.
New six-show season ticket packages will go on sale April 14 at 10 a.m. On-sale dates for individual shows will be announced later. For more information, call the Fox Subscription office at 314-535-1700.
