For the seventh consecutive year, Healthgrades has recognized St. Luke’s Hospital with the Outstanding Patient Experience Award™, placing the hospital among the top 5 percent of hospitals nationwide based on an analysis of patient experience data.
Healthgrades is an independent healthcare ratings organization. Healthgrades selected hospitals for the 2017 award by reviewing patient surveys from April 2015 through March 2016.
“This achievement is particularly meaningful because it is based on what our patients experience while they are being cared for in our hospital, including many factors such as cleanliness, quietness and responsiveness to their needs,” said Diane Ray, RN, FACHE, St. Luke’s Hospital vice president/chief nursing officer of patient services. “Providing a nationally-recognized experience for our patients year after year is one of the many ways we work to make a difference in the community.”
St. Luke’s also received 2017 Specialty Excellence Awards for cardiac care, cardiac surgery, coronary intervention and general surgery in a Healthgrades report published in October. The hospital also received five-star ratings for treatment of stroke, pneumonia and respiratory failure treatment.
St. Luke’s Hospital is an independent, nonprofit healthcare provider with services in over 60 specialty areas. St. Luke’s has a 493-bed hospital in Chesterfield and offers 26 other locations across the greater St. Louis area, bringing quality healthcare services close to home.
