Whether it’s in your favorite state park or simply your own backyard, the National Wildlife Federation is encouraging families to join them for the Great American Campout June 24.
The nationwide initiative is designed to help families experience the outdoors. Missouri State Parks will participate with several special events in the St. Louis area, including Pollinator Palooza at Dr. Edmund A. Babler Memorial State Park, an evening of s’mores and campfire stories at Mastodon State Historic Site and a moonlit hike, s’mores and more activities at Washington State Park. Those who take the pledge to campout on the Great American Campout website will be entered to win prizes, including an RV, accommodations at Jellystone Park and more.
