St. Louis Children’s Hospital is making care even more convenient for St. Louis families. Beginning Dec. 11, the hospital will offer St. Louis Children’s Hospital After Hours, located at 12436 Tesson Ferry Rd., St. Louis, MO.
St. Louis Children’s Hospital After Hours will be open Mondays-Fridays, 5 p.m.-midnight; and Saturdays and Sundays, noon-midnight. Pediatric care will also be available from 5 p.m.-midnight on most major holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day and the Fourth of July. It will be closed on Christmas Day.
“Families now have access to high-quality, kid-focused care in a convenient setting when their doctor’s office is closed, from a team trained in treating children and adolescents,” says Cheryl Grave, RN, CNP, manager of the After Hours program at St. Louis Children's Hospital. “A real advantage for families is that our centers offer less expensive co-pays than urgent care centers, retail clinics or emergency room visits. Billing will be the same as if they are visiting a primary care provider.”
St. Louis Children’s Hospital After Hours will accept patients for a variety of concerns, including coughs and colds; earaches and ear infections; eye problems; flu; asthma and allergies; insect bites; minor scrapes, cuts and bruises; skin problems; vomiting and diarrhea; back and abdominal pain; Mononucleosis; and more. X-rays and laboratory testing will also be available onsite.
St. Louis Children’s Hospital After Hours is designed to be a lower-cost alternative to urgent care and the emergency room. For more information, visit stlouischildrens.org.
