Explore the fun and messy world of clay hand building at Laumeier Sculpture Park. Learn basic sculpting techniques to create objects using slabs, coils and pinch pots. Workshop is designed to encourage problem-solving motor skills and teach the value of patience. Multi-generational workshops are a wonderful way for families to spend quality and creative time together. Children, along with a favorite grownup, explore nature and new artistic media, develop a meaningful bond and create memories to last a lifetime.
Registration includes one adult with one child; children must be accompanied by an adult. Cost is $45, adult with child ages 4 to 12.
Laumeier Sculpture Park is a living laboratory where artists and audiences explore the relationship between contemporary art and the natural environment. Laumeier presents 60 works of large-scale outdoor sculpture in a 105-acre park available free to the public year-round, and serves 300,000 patrons annually through temporary exhibitions, education programs, public events and sculpture conservation.
